This beer bowl has a lovely patina and traces of tear and wear. It is from the early 19th century
Beer bowl, or drinking bun, is, as the name suggests, a drinking vessel for beer.
They are shaped more or less like a hemisphere or like a somewhat shallower bowl.
The most common material is wood ( but you can also find them in ceramics. )
Wooden bowls can often be carved, or turned.
This one is turned.
